Description: 11 graded PR-66 CAM, 9 higher at NGC. Mintage of over a thousand pieces was impressively high for a proof gold dollar, yet the grading services suggest that perhaps a sixth of the original emission remains extant today. Most will display good cameo effect as evidenced by this obvious aspirant, which shows plentiful frosted texture on the major devices and dynamic, reflective fields. The hairline-free surface displays zero copper spots and only a single abrasion -- one thin line ejecting upward from "O" in DOLLAR on the reverse.
