Lot Title: 1883-CC PCGS MS-65DMPL CACCAC
Lot Number: 397
Description: Captain Jack Collection. The three common Carson City dollars of 1882-CC through 1884-CC are well known as a terrific source of eye-appealing coins, but few collectors deny that an astonishing DMPL like the present example represents anything less than a dream come true. Proofs of the Morgan dollar series seldom look this nice, as the coin projects incredible contrast with an array of waterfall ripples within the fields. In particular, and almost to an extreme, the reverse die was prepared by severe polishing of the face, as innumerable highly raised lines scramble through the fields. AMAZING!
