Description: The Before Collection. The surface has been cleaned and subsequently retoned in darker ebony-grey that does go a long way toward restoring a more original appearance. Boldly outlined details include some finer definition, including most of the eagle's wing feathers showing only moderate wear. A narrow, oblong streak in the obverse upper right field is an as-struck planchet defect, and a pair of tiny contact marks at the top of the head appear to be the only notable distractions.
