Description: VT Aerostyle Collection. 90 graded MS-67, five higher (all MS-67+) at PCGS. The earlier woes of striking incompletely defined coins had mostly disappeared from San Francisco emissions by the mid 1930s, and this example justifies the initial visual impression of a fully detailed coin. Closer examination of the champagne-grey surface finds lovely satiny luster throughout, but also some minor indications of orange-peel effect, especially within the shallower recesses of the portrait. Some delightful indigo iridescence decorates the upper reverse motifs.
