Description: Mike Hurt Collection. 13 graded PR-65, 1 higher at NGC. The intriguing, low-contrast presentation affords ready appreciation of the finely wrought design elements that only a proof striking of the era could produce. Each individual strand of Liberty's hair stands out in high relief, and the straps of her sandal have all been fully delineated. The eagle's talons have been fully rendered by the dies. Attractive smoky-grey patina absorbs some brilliance from surrounding chartreuse and indigo-blue toning. The only fault appears to be a few isolated linear abrasions ejecting left from the eagle's beak.
