Description: 32 graded MS-65, 12 higher at NGC. Underrated as a key to the Walking Liberty half-dollar series (and overshadowed by its mintmarked brethren), 1919 can only seldom be found at the gem grade level, as the NGC population report implies. The blatantly white surface exudes lovely undulating waves of luster, and certainly only a bare minimum of contact as even the obverse right field remains unblemished. We note a singularly misplaced carbon spot just at the corner of Liberty's mouth.
