Description: Sheldon-9 has the date following along the curve of the stem above it, and the fraction bar resting atop the denomination. This example offers decidedly acceptable chocolate-brown color and just enough detail to warrant a very-good grade, but NGC's "tooled" disclaimer warns of some scratches in the obverse left field and sharper scratches beneath the neck. It is unclear whether there was any intent to disguise other problems, as it isn't terribly uncommon to see 18th century copper similarly faulted with signs of day-to-day usage.
