Description: O-116 shows portions of UNITED clashed about S8, and 7-9 berries arranged on the reverse. Appearing at first glance to be an unimpaired very-fine example, closer inspection of the surface suggests that some initials have been tooled out of both of the obverse fields. With some imagination, it appears the tooled line spells out an -- ahem -- particularly descriptive expletive. As required of the details level, Liberty's hair displays strong delineation of nearly all the tresses, and essentially all of the feathers remain distinct in the eagle's wings.
