Description: Sheldon-11b or Sheldon-11c; lettered edge according to what PCGS indicates on the slab insert. The planchet is potentially cracked, as what appear to be delicate laminations on either side (beneath 3 on the obverse, above TES on the reverse) line up perfectly, suggesting related anomalies. Absolutely delectable chocolate toning features caramel inflections throughout, as observed with a loupe, and darker accents embolden outer devices here and there. The surface has remained amazingly free from contact overall, showing perhaps three or four modest circulation marks on the portrait, as well as a couple of truly trivial depressions above "O" in the denomination. Unfortunately, the gloopy slab precludes examination of the rim (or edge, for that matter). A spectacular type coin for the collector who demands top quality at a given grade level.
