Description: Bert Davies Collection. Low mintages met with even lower initial demand made these earliest issue United States proof sets a very scarce find. This has only become even more true today as fewer of these sets remain intact. This particular set is carefully housed in a white Capital plastics holder and has PQ examples from start to finish. While each example within this set is noteworthy, there is little question that the brilliance of the proof Buffalo nickel seems to stand out from the crowd. It is a truly gem example that is impossible to ignore (ck).
