Description:	Wiley-09, WB-101. Ex-SS Republic. Wooden display box and COA are included, the inner material still shrink-wrapped as befits a truly pristine offering. Specialists believe this to be a die-marriage struck while the New Orleans mint was under Confederate control. While NGC's "shipwreck effect" connotes long-term storage in salt water and the accompanying effect of creating surface microporosity, this particular coin offers considerably better luster than usual for such coins and could almost garner a straight grade. Few abrasions affect the aluminum-white surface, helping make this possibly the nicest shipwreck WB-101 that the cataloger has personally viewed.
