Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1801 PCGS AU-55
Lot Number: 374
Description: The First Through Last Collection. Bass-Dannreuther-2, die-state c/c as is represented by the peculiar diagonal lines in the cap that must have been placed into the dies by errant striking of a screw or other metal object. The surface radiates slightly glossy mint luster only partially effaced by trace wear in the middle of the fields and over some upper relief details. While free from virtually any sign of mentionable contact, a single light hairline scratch shows above the eagle's right (observed) wing. 1801 BD-2 typically serve as type representation across all dates and die-marriages (1795 - 1804).
