Description: Bon Voyage Collection. HM-1 (R.3), block 8. The Daryl Haynor/John McCloskey reference "United States Classic Gold Coins of 1834-1839" is now three years old and it behooves us to being using the new attributions where possible. HM-1 is considered challenging at the mint-state level, encouraging collectors to look for acceptable about-uncirculated specimens. Here is an example that faces up very nicely for album placement, although careful scrutiny finds some slight damage within the reeding, suggesting the coin may have been mounted at one time.
