Description: Jody Harrison Collection. McCloskey-1. "AM" on the reverse are more distant than the remaining letters in AMERICA, narrowing down attribution instantly. For type collectors, 1835 should be a tempting choice against the 1836, the latter being far more common at only a slightly more enticing price, while later dates obviously command a large premium due simply to very low mintages. This is an excellent type coin example showing delightful, semi-reflective luster and discernible cameo effect on either side. Canary-yellow toning blends with slight variation in color to produce a whisper more apparent sharpness than is technically present.
