Description: Bert Davies Collection. 142 graded MS-67, 7 graded MS-67 "star", 18 higher at NGC. VAM-4. NGC must have run out of ink to print "stars" on the slab inserts because if any silver dollar deserves accolades for "superior eye appeal", this certainly is it. The fully frosted reverse remains blast white while the obverse is the opposite of that as it displays a dazzling array of end-of-roll colors, deeply saturated first with slate-green that erupts into bands of color toward the right field. There, cinnamon-blue, purple-orange and violet hues shine with vivid energy that mark this as an obviously original example.
