Uncommonly attractive in every way, this 1924-S exceeds expectations of the primary grade determinant for just about every desirable example -- strike. Minor loss of highpoint detailing shows only the hair strands closest to the face, and along the bottom edge of the eagle's near wing, which is enough to place this coin in premier territory. At most a handful of utterly unimportant tiny nicks rest on the portrait.
