Description: The Lawndale National Bank of Chicago, Illinois, type 1. Here is a high grade, uncut half-sheet of 1929 twenties off of Lawndale, a family bank in a smaller central-west suburb of Chicago. Block letters A through C fall on serial number 7 -- always a lucky number for the collector. These were last seen in a CGA holder back in 1997 in a "different grade", showing up recently "raw". Folds between the notes help to determine the appropriate AU50 grade level, with an inconsequential, small rust spot on the back and a tiny ink dot on the first portrait.
