Description: The First National Bank of Altamont, Illinois. A very difficult bank for large size collectors, the three known earlier notes are much rarer than the available small sized emissions from this Effingham county bank. This one is new to the census, bringing the total to four known by the cataloger. This is further a pleasing example, slightly nicer than average for the Fine grade level and enhanced with superb, dark and sharp signatures.
