Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1936 Oregon PCGS MS-68 CACCAC
Lot Number: 951
Description: The Blackhawk Collection. 9 graded MS-68. 1 graded MS-68+, zero higher at PCGS. Legendary status at the top of the grading pyramid (aside from a singular plus-graded example) should be sufficient impetus for a strong bid, but this nearly perfect Oregon stands on its own technical merits. To begin with, the surface appears to be completely free from abrasions no matter how long one scrutinizes it, and only the most persnickety collector will find some trivial touch abrasions at the very back of the wagon on the reverse. Sensational luster further drives the eye-appeal. The strike appears to be about as perfect as is possible for the type, and the brilliant satin-white presentation shows faint golden toning toward the obverse periphery joined by definite rim accents on the reverse.
