Lot Title: 1817 O-108a PCGS MS-62 (rattler)
Lot Number: 622
Description: Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-108a (R.4). Identification of two bold obverse die cracks immediately consummates attribution of this very scarce die-marriage. Of course, PCGS did not attribute half-dollar varieties back during the "rattler" era so there is no reliable condition census, but Overton's fifth edition lists only a single "MS-63" by die-marriage, making this coin a likely contender for any such census. Trivial pepper spots flutter across the obverse but by and large, both sides remain distraction-free and lustrous.
