Description: The Blackhawk Collection. 25 graded MS-66+, 1 graded MS-67, zero higher at PCGS. The cynic might wonder why in blazes someone would pay top dollar for a "common" entry into the Indian gold eagle series, but NO date is common when it achieves such a lofty grade at PCGS. A huge mintage of 4.5-million seem fertile ground, yet only a few handfuls exist at the present grade level, and this is an absolutely astounding, eye-dazzling example. Swirling bands of Inconceivably vibrant orange luster energize the visuals, augmented by a marvelous strike. Inevitably, the presence of a single contact point on the neck and perhaps fewer than a handful of other delicate abrasions determine the grade.
