Lot Title: Group of seven Wood's Hibernia coins
Lot Number: 573
Description: As a whole, these rise above expectations in appearance due mostly to better-than-average surfaces. First is a trio of farthings: 1723 (VG/dark, showing some surface roughness under leather-brown), 1723 (VF/corroded, very dark and moderately rough), and 1724 (Fine/rim bumps, but very decent surfaces and attractive brown surfaces). A quartet of halfpennies accompanies: 1722 (Good, slightly rough but overall decent given the heavy circulation), 1723 (VG/bent, really pleasing surfaces and most likely could be straightened without harm), 1723 (VG, maybe pushing toward Fine and imbued with very nice surfaces), and a third 1723 (VG/rim nick, also a few other small surface intrusions). Seven coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
