Description: Kagin-4 "wide date, short neck" (R.5). Seemingly an early die-state example, no peripheral cracks show under a loupe. The obverse appears to be more evenly struck than usual, as these are often seen with poorer striking details at the obverse far left, and of course, the reverse always displays a shallow strike. Somewhat pale, lemon-gold color greets the eye, with any potential remaining luster downplayed by the matte surface texture. Numerous small circulation ticks pepper both sides of the soft coin, but it has not been abused and displays only a couple of large pocket marks, including a nick below the hair bun and another on the eagle's upper neck.
