Description: The Crack Of Dawn Collection. A lengthy threadlike abrasion in the obverse lower left field of the 1888 Bunion undoubtedly limits the grade, yet this remains a very sharply struck dollar with blazing luster. A second 1888 grades MS-66 and this is an extremely well struck coin, beaming with bright silvery luster and showing but a single, shiny abrasion on the cheek. The strike for 1888-O does not follow suit as this typically weak emission has soft centers, yet marvelous luster sizzles off of this contact-free example. Three coin lot.
