Description: The Crack Of Dawn Collection. 8 graded MS-66, 2 higher at NGC. The thing about these later 1880s San Francisco issues is, they are often so darned beautiful! Here is a blistering white example for which the "semi-prooflike" designation would be most fitting, if only the third-party graders would offer up such accolades. The flashy fields surround exquisitely sharp details that only barely miss perfection. While Liberty's cheek and neck seem entirely devoid of contact marks until one notices a tiny, completely unimportant disturbance on the lower jaw, and that is the only feature that seems like it could possibly bar upgrade.
