Description: VAM-6, Top-100, the 8/7 "low" overdate. While not properly prooflike by any means, both sides nevertheless present blatant cameo effects as the thickly frosted portraits somehow contrast very well against the finely textured fields. Strike quality borders upon perfection as only a very isolated portion of the center of the obverse displays a trace of shallow detail, while the eagle's breast feathers appear to be about ideally sculpted. Beautifully free from contact, this obsidian-white example.
