Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1883-S PCGS MS-64 (green label) CACCAC
Lot Number: 401
Description: Captain Jack Collection. 1883-S ranks as one of the well-known grade-rarities within the series, although it is overshadowed by the extreme grade-sensitive levels of the subsequent 1884-S. This date represents the transition between the ultra-common, but spectacular preceding four years, followed by the indifferent productions of latter San Francisco dates, which means production quality can vary a lot. Yet like the immediately preceding issues, 1883-S dollars are often very pretty coins.... IF they can be found in high grade. This example features a great strike, headlight luster, and pure silver-white presence.
