Description: Bert Davies Collection. Snow-1. The 6 is repunched north once, and the 7 is repunched north twice (triple punched), these anomalies being the characteristics that identify the well-known and popular Snow-1. Several repunched dates exist for 1867, but Snow-1 might be one of the most impressive in terms of mint shenanigans. A lustrous example peppered with minute speckles of spearmint-green and slate, the surface displays virtually no sign of abrasions. Light hairlines angle upward and left on the reverse, suggesting a grade ESTIMATE of MS-60 RB, if not better.
