Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1888 PCGS PR-64CAM
Lot Number: 143
Description: 11 graded PR-64 CAM, 28 higher at PCGS. Seemingly a just-made-it cameo striking, pleasing frosty texture endows the devices, and the fields swirl with minimal flashy luster, the reverse being slightly more reflective than the obverse. As always, the headband displays a weak "E..Y" and RT have been entirely effaced by heavy polishing of the die during proof preparations. This is often seen for circulation strikes, which themselves frequently look like specimen strikings. That being said, the strike clearly stands a bit above average (for a proof) since the reverse displays DOLLAR in full, bold relief; "LL" are often weak for lesser strikes. A few distributed, minor abrasions determine the grade.
