Lot Title: Complete collection of Lincoln cents 1909 through 1940 in a Whitman 9405 album
Lot Number: 581
Description: The No Land Consignment. Collector appeal: "A+". Extensive efforts to upgrade coins herein have paid off in spades, as the result is a collection that consists of unusually well-detailed Lincoln cents, not even one of which has detectable problems. All keys are present with one notable caveat, as follows: 1909-S VDB (VF, likely choice or better with exquisite vintage brown patina and absolutely zero mentionable marks), 1909-S (VF, and also choice with two-toned patina that shows nice pecan against near-chocolate fields), 1914-D (VF, and at the upper range of that grade with amazingly original surfaces and faint, linear abrasions at the reverse center), in the place of the "1922-D no mintmark" is a 1922-D "weak mintmark, weak reverse" (Fine, lovely smooth surfaces and barely a visible bump where the mintmark belongs), and 1931-S (AU). It appears the consignor intended the overall grade to fall in the upper VF to XF and better range, as some additional highlights may demonstrate: 1910-S (XF), 1911-D (XF), 1911-S (XF), 1912-D (AU), 1912-S (AU, remarkably sharp), 1913-D (XF), 1913-S (AU), 1914-S (XF), 1915 (XF), 1915-S (XF), 1916-S (AU), 1922-D (AU), 1924-D (AU), 1926-S (AU, minor glue residue), and numerous other pieces from the teens and twenties that grade XF and higher.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
