Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1871 AU-58 CAC, and an 1876 AU-58, both PCGS
Lot Number: 567
Description: Easily recognized as a much tougher date in the series, 1871 provides a lot of appeal for the grade, including some brick-orange luster that mingles with classic olive-brown. Sharpness might be deemed a bit lacking but this is due more to strike than wear, as the early 70s saw many shallow strikes coming out of Philadelphia. 1876, by contrast, displays great detail and rock-solid caramel-brown patina over the completely unmarked surface. Two coin lot.
