Description: Andy Sheldon Consignment. Sheldon-294 is sufficiently attributed by noticing the "crosslet 4" that gives the Redbook variety as well. Whatever past notion there was to clean this coin must have been vastly misguided, because as a natural "AU" example, it would have been a terrific specimen given the very good planchet quality. Now, strangely candescent, orange undertones yield an unnatural appearance that might be best served if the coin were stored in a Kraft envelope, rather than a slab. A light and unimportant scratch crosses over the nose and appears to be the only mentionable mechanical offense.
