Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1861 New Reverse AU-58, and an 1897 MS-64, both PCGS
Lot Number: 133
Description: For being a Civil War emission, the 1861 was struck with amazing clarity of detail, and even a couple of points of light circulation was not enough to reduce the amazing sharpness, nor was the luster affected by much loss. It is certainly an "unc-at-a-glance" example. 1897 leaves no doubt as to mint-state status as both sides deliver unhindered frosty mint luster to the eye, and here again, Philadelphia struck up the timeless design elements to an incomparable level of sharpness. Two coin lot.
