Description: Overton-146 is not easy to distinguish from any of the multitude of die-marriages for 1827, but does at least have a "curl base 2", the scarcer Redbook sub-variety. The final "A" in AMERICA barely touches the upper arrowhead. Covered with moderate silver-grey patina, shades of golden color encroach upon the obverse right field, and some subtle album color seeps inward from the rims on both sides. Modest hairlines scatter on the obverse, and a segmented oblong mark lightly impacts the eagle's shield.
