Description: U.K. Lorgnettes Collection. 90 graded PR-67, 9 higher at NGC. The "CAM" designation was in use by NGC during the time of this slab, and one wonders how in blazes they could have failed to invoke the nomenclature for a proof nickel with so much contrast. Resubmission seems like the coin's destiny because not only is it such a candidate, but the eye-appeal exceeds all expectations, as glowing bands of vivid chartreuse-ice patina surround arctic silver and blue inner hues. An absolutely blazing superb Gem with the usual razor-sharp strike normally seen for 1909.
