Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1909-S VDB Lincoln PCGS MS-64RB
Lot Number: 727
Description: A few years ago, among many connoisseurs of the series, MS-64 RB was considered optimal for the key to the Lincoln cent series, and the present example seems to offer a virtually ideal 50/50 helping of both tonalities. Perhaps one tiny carbon patch off to the obverse right and a couple of minute flecks bear mention, but they have no impact on eye-appeal. This is the "low mintmark" position for the obverse die, and the overall detail offers highly proper definition, right on par with the "very choice" level. The obverse shows no perceptible contact, and only a minute tick right of "T" shows on the reverse.
