Description: Gentle Water Ripples Collection. An 1856 has not been included within this circulation-strike collection, but that will come as no surprise as being the only unfilled slot for this Whitman album. The consignor obviously enjoyed assembling this set and took pains to find coins that have a legible LIBERTY on the headbands. Myriad highlights abound, but the cataloger wants to point out only some of the best coins, including: 1857 (XF), 1863 (AU), 1864 "L" (XF), 1866 (XF, but many micro-ticks), 1867 (VF), 1869/8 (XF/spot corrosion), 1870 (XF/dark), 1873 (XF), 1877 (VG - F/obverse digs), 1908-S (AU/smoothed), 1909-S (VF and quite nice), and several UNC examples from 1880 onward that add a fair amount of value to the collection.
