Description: 317 graded MS-65, 46 higher at PCGS. As with its "plain" brethren, the collector faces long odds in finding a 2x4 Missouri that truly qualifies for "gem" status, since the Missouri type has notoriety for dense toning and compromised luster. Even here, some rather extensive tobacco-gold occupies a significant portion of the surface, and some darker ebony-smoke color emanates from the upper reverse. That said, the impressive luster beaming off each side exceeds that which is normally seen, although a fair number of linear disturbances will be found in the obverse left field.
