Description: VAM-3 shows slight doubling on top of the "5" in the date. One of the familiar grade-rarities in the series, 1895-O is far from common above the extremely-fine level, and while this slightly choice AU example would be an unlikely candidate for a generally BU set, it does provide an excellent level of sharpness for the grade. Only mild wear shows across the peak of Liberty's cap and at the cheek, while the eagle's breast feathers evince the combination of a typical, slightly deficient New Orleans strike and modest rub. Vanilla-grey overall, a fair portion of luster remains, shimmering outside the peripheral devices.
