Description: An 1890 in MS-66 runs about $30,000, so a premium quality gem like the present piece offers a huge amount of "bang for the buck" by comparison. Just lovely, colorful toning displays upon both sides, with the obverse tone being particularly attractive due to a vivid, narrow band of brilliance adjoining two-thirds of the rim. The central area features velvety salmon-gold and lavender, surrounded by indigo-chartreuse, teal and plum-gold. Some additional album color encircles much of the lustrous, silvery reverse. Very slightly soft at the exact center of either side.
