Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1798 Heraldic PCGS XF-40
Lot Number: 362
Description: Cole M. Williams Collection. Bolender-14, BB-122 has the serif of "1" in the date pointing to a heavily lapped, nearly absent curl, and on the reverse, the point of the right serif of the final "A" touches the eagle's claw. Die-state III has a die crack connecting several stars on the left, but a later die crack toward the upper right has not yet developed. The graphite and pewter color combination has a bit of a mottled pattern on the obverse, but generally falls along the lines of classic lighter highpoints against the darker field color, ideally realized on the reverse.
