Description: Mintage: 55,680. Here is an extremely appealing, utterly original example of the key to the quarter-eagle Indian series, replete with splendid patina and some pale grey toning on the high points. Circulation rub has been indicated by the presence of mere a touch of greyish friction on the Indian's cheek, at the top of the eagle's shoulder, and on the talons. Just as expressed on the PCGS label, the "D" mintmark is relative bold, and strong details everywhere else suggest an outstanding strike. Simply a sumptuous example, and one not to be trifled with if you are a serious bidder.
