Description: 10 graded MS-65, 5 higher at NGC. The mintage barely topped half a million for 1913-D, and as the census report indicates, gem and better examples are, frankly, rare. Tightly rolled satin luster shimmers and wobbles through the fields of this apricot-white example, accented by an interesting flash of tan on the lower neck. An unusually well struck branch-mint example, even the juncture of the eagle's right (observed) wing displays most of its intended details.
