Description: Shawl Consignment. 8 graded MS-64, 10 higher at NGC. Long established as one of the primary keys to a complete set, the NGC census report announces the downright rarity of 1897-O above the certified choice grade level. Dusky and dusty cinnamon-magenta thoroughly dominates the surface for this example, yielding to memorably deep nuances of cobalt-blue toward the upper and lower rims on the obverse. The reverse shares similar accents most of the way around the periphery. Most impressive, by far for this key, is the astounding sharpness that indicates an absolutely complete strike. The nocks of each arrow are precisely articulated, and every obverse star has been rendered with perfect precision.
