Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1830 PCGS MS-62
Lot Number: 680
Description: LM-1 is a bit of a nondescript die-marriage that might best be attributed by comparing the positioning of the ends of the scrolls on the reverse, and also notable are the touching of the bases of AME. These dies were famously used to strike proofs, and one might guess this example to be an early striking as well, not because of any prooflike character per-se, but because the sharpness seems particularly precise, obviously executed with newer dies. Extensive lavender-grey toning blankets the entire coin and may be disguising flashy luster below.
