Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1914-S NGC MS-64
Lot Number: 654
Description: 394 graded MS-64, 73 higher at NGC. The population statistics suggest a plentiful supply at MS-64, so what would distinguish this example from its hundreds of peers? The answer lies within the discovery of gorgeous, near-stunning rainbow vibrancy encircling both sides. Astonishing magenta brilliance lies in circular pattern right next to wintergreen and peppermint-blue stripes, producing an inimitably beautiful effect. Technically, the strike quality is about what one excepts from an early San Francisco buffalo nickel, showing some flatness at the Indians covered ear, although the bison himself seems rather well-defined. But in the end, it's that consuming iridescent color that will drive this Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award example toward a very strong bid level.
