Description: NY Marathon Collection. HK-1010 proves to be a very elusive quest in high grades, and even the example treasured by Eric P. Newman graded only AU-58, a mere three points better than the present Choice AU example. The St. Louis "connection" arises from the attribution, which places the origin of these pieces with the Jaccard Jewelry Company, a hugely successful operation with satellite European storefronts during the 1880s and 1890s. A rock-solid original example draped in deep ebony-grey patina, with only the expected occasional abrasions and handling marks.
