Description: Mintage: 168,000. B-1 is the only die-marriage for 1824/2. Not appreciated by many collectors is the fact that the 1824/2 quarter is substantially scarcer than the famed 1815/2 half-dollar, although the latter series is far more avidly collected than the bust quarter series. Serious collectors know that VF-25 represents a relatively high grade for the date, since the majority that come to market fall into the AG to VG range, and NGC undoubtedly recognized the refreshingly original surface quality throughout. Delicate sky-blue shades lurk here and there, and the only marks of note include a couple of small ticks above the date, and a trio of tiny pinpricks off right of the portrait.
