Description: Blackjack Can Collection. Mintage: 100,000. VAM-1 has the mintmark centered and poised normally (upright). As the key to the series, the 1893-S in better grade has frequently been the target of attempts to "improve" various examples, making it all the more refreshing to locate such a gorgeous, original example. Superb pearl-grey patina encompasses the entire surface except where darker charcoal accents have worked into the recesses. Absolutely zero distractions can be found on either side, attesting to strictly honest circulation, and perhaps a dozen or so tiny, shallow old contact points on the cheek provide the only evidence of past encounters with other pocket objects. A fantastic key dollar that assures the new owner of something to brag about. Let the revels begin!
