Description: No Land Consignment. Bolender-5 is familiar as the most common Flowing Hair dollar, featuring the "bar" in the obverse left field. The benefits of collecting such a distinguished type at the XF-45 should be obvious as one appreciates the silvery luster that has survived within peripheral recessed areas. Pastel sky-blue tints the central hair tresses and Liberty's cheek in counterpoint with the light honey-grey accenting other portions of the design. A single linear abrasion on the lower neck and a pair of modest hairlines across the portrait seem to be the only meaningful distractions, as the surface on balance is remarkably free from contact for a coin of this heft and size. Nicely centered, and great presentation for an always-in-demand type dollar.
